Thank you for the detailed report and for staying available while our team investigated the interruption. We have restored normal access for the affected accounts, but we would like to keep this request open until your colleagues have completed their checks. Please ask someone who experienced the original problem to sign in again and open an existing request, rather than testing only with a newly created account.
The first investigation suggested a permission problem because the account page displayed an access warning. After comparing the application logs with the identity provider records, we found that the warning was a consequence of an expired session. Changing group membership would therefore hide the symptom without correcting the underlying problem. Please leave the existing roles in place while we finish validating the session settings.
Before applying the configuration change, export the current settings and store the file in your internal change record. The export can contain information about your environment, so please do not attach it to this email. We only need the names of the settings that differ from the documented values, together with the time at which you last changed them. This will allow us to compare the affected systems without collecting unnecessary account details.
During the maintenance window, incoming messages will continue to be accepted, although their appearance in the application may be delayed. Agents should avoid repeatedly submitting the same reply when the send button appears to be waiting. A delayed confirmation does not necessarily mean that delivery failed. Once the queue has recovered, check the article history before creating a replacement response for the customer.
Please start with the test environment and use the same browser profile that showed the issue. Open the account settings, save the current selection without changing it, and then reload the page. Record whether the warning appears before or after the reload. If a private browsing window behaves differently, mention that in your reply, but do not clear the original profile until we have collected the comparison.
We also reviewed the attachment handling because several screenshots appeared as broken images in the forwarded message. The original attachments are still present on the request. The broken previews come from references to images embedded in an earlier email, which some mail clients remove when forwarding a thread. Please download the original attachment from the article rather than copying the broken preview from the quoted message.
Our recommendation is to deploy the configuration adjustment separately from the scheduled application upgrade. Combining both changes would make it difficult to determine which one affected the result. After the adjustment, allow the monitoring checks to complete and ask the service desk to confirm that normal work can continue. The upgrade can then proceed under its existing change approval, with its own rollback decision.
For the rollback, restore the exported configuration and restart only the component named in the change record. Do not restore the entire database: that would remove requests received since the backup and create a separate recovery problem. If the targeted restart does not restore service, stop the procedure and contact the on-call engineer with the recorded timestamps and the latest health-check output.
The monitoring dashboard can briefly show older results after the service has recovered. Please compare the timestamp of each check before treating a red indicator as a new failure. We are interested in checks performed after the restart, especially the request delivery test and the background processing test. A screenshot that includes the timestamp is more useful than a cropped image containing only the status icon.
Additional observations: please keep the original browser session until the comparison is complete.
The exported labels contain A&B and <unassigned>.

The following diagnostic notes describe the behavior observed in the staging environment. The application starts successfully and answers the basic health check, but requests routed through the reverse proxy occasionally lose their session. Direct requests from the internal network do not reproduce the problem. This difference suggests that we should inspect the forwarded headers before changing application-level authentication settings.
The command examples below are provided for comparison with your existing configuration. Do not paste them into production without replacing the demonstration host names and checking the service names used by your installation. The output contains literal braces and angle brackets because it illustrates a template rather than a complete configuration file. Those characters are part of the example and should remain unchanged.
We need a short capture from the period immediately before and after a failed sign-in. A full-day archive is difficult to correlate and may contain unrelated information. Please include the request identifier returned to the browser and the matching entry from the proxy access log. If the request identifier is absent, record that fact explicitly rather than inventing a value to fill the field.
